Letters are written on Japanese stationery and posted in a sealed envelope with Japanese stamps. Everyone's handwriting and style is different — these show the general look and feel.
These are illustrations, not photographs of letters we have sent. They show the kind of stationery used. Every real letter is written by hand by the person you choose — we don't use AI text, autopens or printed handwriting.
What we promise
Three things we will not trade away, however big this gets.
A person writes it. Never a machine.
Every letter is written by hand by the penpal you chose. Using AI to write or draft a letter is forbidden in the agreement each penpal signs — it is grounds for us ending the arrangement, not a guideline. No autopen, no handwriting robot, no template with your name dropped in.
Your address stays with us.
Your home address never reaches your penpal, and theirs never reaches you. Everything routes through our office in Tokyo. If you would rather reply on paper, you write to us with your Penpal Code and we pass it on.

This is not a Japanese-themed service operated from somewhere else. The person who runs it is Japanese and based in Tokyo, every penpal lives in Japan, and every letter is posted from a Japanese post office with Japanese stamps. Our registered name, address and phone number are published in full on our business disclosure page, as Japanese law requires.
